A rug company that starts at the loom, not the warehouse

Sharmaya Rugs designs and manufactures handmade rugs in India. We sell the same pieces directly to homeowners and to the trade, which removes several layers of markup and lets us keep our collections tight and considered rather than endless.

Our work sits in a deliberately quiet palette: ivory, warm stone, taupe, espresso and muted terracotta. Pattern comes from form, texture and geometry rather than loud colour, so a Sharmaya rug can hold a room together for years without dating it.

We are building this catalogue in public. Product photography and some pages are still in progress, and we would rather tell you that than dress up placeholders as finished work.
