Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered directly into Stripe’s payment form and are not stored by Sharmaya Rugs. We retain only transaction identifiers and order totals needed to service your order.

How we use your information

• Fulfilling and delivering your order, including production and shipping updates
• Customer support, quotes and responding to your enquiries
• Fraud prevention and protecting the security of the site
• Ordinary business operations such as accounting and record keeping
• Meeting obligations required by applicable law

Sharing

We do not sell customer information to advertisers. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the business — for example our payment processor, shipping and logistics partners, email delivery provider and hosting provider — and only to the extent needed to perform that service, or where required by law.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses cookies and browser storage that are necessary for it to function, such as keeping your cart contents, keeping you signed in to the private studio area, and completing a payment session. Our payment provider may set cookies as part of processing and securing a transaction. If we add advertising or third-party tracking in future, this policy will be updated before it is enabled.

Retention

Order and enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to service your order and to meet business and legal record-keeping requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Your requests

To ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion where applicable law allows, email info@sharmaya.com with your order number if you have one. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children

The site is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
